A note on privacy: MyPal stores your conversations on your device, not on a server. That's deliberate — but it means your data can't be recovered from anywhere else. If you want a backup, use Settings → Manage History to export it.
Go to Settings → Change Personality and pick from the six styles: Calm, Friendly, Empathetic, Enthusiastic, Charming, or Playful. You can change it as often as you like. Voice and pitch are adjusted separately in Settings → Change Voice & Pitch.
Yes. Go to Settings → Manage History, where you can export or delete your conversations. The screen is biometric protected, so you'll be asked to authenticate before you can access it. Since your conversations live on your device rather than on our servers, exporting is how you keep a copy of your own.
Go to Settings → Voice Recognition. You can run a test to see how well your companion recognizes you, and re-train your voiceprint from the same screen if the results are poor. Re-training is worth doing if you've changed microphones — for example, if you enrolled using your phone and have since started using Bluetooth earbuds.
If you've set up fingerprint or face authentication, you can use it to get back in and change your PIN in Settings → Security Settings. Because MyPal has no servers and never stores your PIN in the cloud, we cannot reset it for you — which is also why we recommend enabling biometric authentication as a backup.
Yes. You can choose how your session starts in Settings → Authentication Method — voice or fingerprint — and manage PIN, biometrics, and voiceprint options in Settings → Security Settings. We do recommend keeping at least one form of protection enabled, since your conversations are personal.
Yes. MyPal has a text-only mode for people who'd rather type, or who are somewhere they can't speak freely. You can choose it during onboarding instead of recording a voiceprint.
Updates usually install automatically through Google Play. To check manually, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, and select "Manage apps & device". Keeping MyPal current gives you the latest fixes and improvements.
You can cancel anytime through your Google Play account settings, with no long-term commitment. You'll lose access to paid features at the end of your billing period, but your conversations stay on your device — cancelling doesn't erase them. You can resubscribe at any time.
