A long press on your companion's name sends a chosen message and your location to the people you trust, with no sound and no siren. On Android, the message sends automatically. On iPhone, Apple requires you to tap Send for each message. While the alert is active, another long press sends your updated location, and "I am safe now" sends the all-clear.

Yes. MyPal is available on the App Store for iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. It has the same companion, plans, and 21-day trial as the Android version. One difference to know: on iPhone, Silent Alert asks you to tap Send for each message, because Apple doesn't allow apps to send text messages automatically.
No. Your subscription is purchased through Google Play or the App Store, and it stays with that store. If you switch, cancel the subscription in your old store so you aren't charged twice, then subscribe again in MyPal on your new phone. Your conversations and memories also stay on the original phone, because MyPal stores them only on your device and never on our servers.
MyPal needs roughly 150 MB of free space. That covers the app itself plus room for the conversations stored locally on your device.
MyPal needs a connection for voice features and web search. Your conversations and memories are stored on your device, so they remain available to you offline. A stable connection gives the best experience.
MyPal needs microphone access for voice interaction, and you can revoke it anytime in your device settings. Contacts, calendar, and location access are requested only if you choose to set up the features that use them, such as Silent Alert.
Yes, and they're the setup we'd suggest — mostly for privacy. With earbuds in, your conversation stays between you and your companion, so you can talk on a bus, in a waiting room, or in a house full of people without anyone overhearing you. The microphone in a Bluetooth headset works at least as well as your phone's own, so you give up nothing by using one. Wired headsets and the built-in microphone work fine too. One thing worth knowing: set up your voice using the microphone you plan to use day to day, so MyPal learns your voice the way it will normally hear it.
Yes. You can install MyPal on more than one device. Conversations are stored locally on each one, so each device keeps its own history. That's a direct result of the privacy design.
On iPhone: check your internet connection, confirm your iPhone runs iOS 15.1 or later (Settings → General → About), make sure you have enough free storage, restart the iPhone, then try again from the App Store.
On Android: check your internet connection, confirm your device runs Android 10 or later, restart the device, clear the Play Store cache, then install again.
