MyPal needs roughly 150 MB of free space. That covers the app itself plus room for the conversations stored locally on your device.
MyPal needs a connection for voice features and web search. Your conversations and memories are stored on your device, so they remain available to you offline. A stable connection gives the best experience.
MyPal needs microphone access for voice interaction, and you can revoke it anytime in your device settings. Contacts, calendar, and location access are requested only if you choose to set up the features that use them, such as Silent Alert.
Yes, and they're the setup we'd suggest — mostly for privacy. With earbuds in, your conversation stays between you and your companion, so you can talk on a bus, in a waiting room, or in a house full of people without anyone overhearing you. The microphone in a Bluetooth headset works at least as well as your phone's own, so you give up nothing by using one. Wired headsets and the built-in microphone work fine too. One thing worth knowing: set up your voice using the microphone you plan to use day to day, so MyPal learns your voice the way it will normally hear it.
Yes. You can install MyPal on more than one device. Conversations are stored locally on each one, so each device keeps its own history. That's a direct result of the privacy design.
Try these in order: check your internet connection, confirm your device runs Android 10 or later, restart the device, clear the Play Store cache, then install again. If it still fails, contact support and tell us your device model and Android version.
MyPal is distributed only through Google Play over a secure connection. Once installed, your conversations and data are stored on your device and encrypted.
