MyPal uses advanced voice recognition to create your unique voiceprint. This takes about three to three-and-a-half minutes:
Your voiceprint is stored securely on your device and used to authenticate your interactions with MyPal. Prefer not to record? You can choose "Text Only" mode instead and type to your companion — perfect for quiet environments, accents, or personal preference.
Choose the personality style that best fits how you'd like your companion to interact with you. You have six options:
Don't worry — you can change this anytime in Settings.
Customize the pitch of your companion's voice to match your preferences. Use the slider to adjust from lower to higher pitch, and test the voice to hear how it sounds.
This ensures your companion's voice is exactly what you want to hear.
Finally, we'll protect your conversations with your fingerprint and a six-digit PIN. Most phones support fingerprint authentication; if yours doesn't, the PIN has you covered.
Because MyPal has no servers and doesn't store your PIN in the cloud, please choose a PIN you'll remember. We recommend enabling biometric authentication as an added convenience and backup.

MyPal's Silent Alert System offers a discreet, private way to reach your trusted contacts when you find yourself in danger. With a single long-press on your companion's name, MyPal silently sends a message and your current location — no siren, no visible warning, nothing about your phone looks any different.
No sound, no visible alert, no notification anyone else can see. Only a small red indicator inside MyPal shows the alert is active.
No automatic tracking. When you move and want your contacts to know, a simple long-press sends your new location.
Add 2–3 pre-configured emergency contacts. More than one watchful eye means better odds someone sees your message in time.
When the moment passes, a long-press on "I am safe now" sends an all-clear to every contact — closure for you, and for them.

During onboarding, you'll spend about three to three-and-a-half minutes reading three short phrases aloud. MyPal uses this to create your unique voiceprint through a deep neural network — creating a signature that's uniquely yours. Your voiceprint is stored on your device and authenticates your interactions with MyPal. If you prefer not to record your voice, you can choose Text Only mode instead.

MyPal works best with an internet connection for features like web search and real-time information. However, your core conversations and memory are stored locally on your device, so you can access them offline.
