🎤 Voice Recognition Issues
Problem: MyPal isn't recognizing your voice or voice commands aren't working.
Solutions:
- Ensure microphone permissions are enabled in app settings
- Check that your device's microphone is working (test with another app)
- Speak clearly and at a normal volume
- Reduce background noise for better recognition
- Re-train your voice in Settings → Voice Profile
- Restart the app and try again
🔊 Audio or Speaker Issues
Problem: You can't hear MyPal's responses or audio is distorted.
Solutions:
- Check device volume settings (not muted)
- Ensure speaker is working (test with another app)
- Try using headphones to isolate the issue
- Check MyPal's in-app volume settings
- Restart your device
- Reinstall the app if problems persist
⚡ Performance or Lag Issues
Problem: MyPal is slow, freezing, or lagging.

🔄 Sync or Connection Issues
Problem: MyPal won't connect or sync across devices.

Frequently Asked Questions
To reset your account, go to Settings → Account → Reset Account. This will clear all conversations and preferences, but you'll keep your subscription status. You can then complete onboarding again to create a fresh start with a new companion.
Yes! You can export your conversations as a text file. Go to Settings → Data → Export Conversations. Your conversations will be saved to your device and can be backed up or shared as needed.
You can change your companion's personality anytime. Go to Settings → Companion → Personality and select from the six available styles: Calm, Friendly, Empathetic, Enthusiastic, Charming, or Playful. You can also adjust voice pitch and other preferences.
If you forget your 6-digit PIN, you can reset it using your biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition). Go to Settings → Security → Reset PIN and authenticate with your biometric data. If you've disabled biometric authentication, contact support for assistance.
You have complete control over your conversations. In the conversation list, swipe left on any conversation (iOS) or long-press (Android) and select "Delete". You can also archive conversations if you want to keep them but remove them from your active list.
Yes! Biometric authentication is optional. You can use a 6-digit PIN instead, or disable security features entirely if you prefer. Go to Settings → Security to adjust your authentication preferences. However, we recommend using at least a PIN for basic protection.
Updates are typically automatic through your app store. To manually check for updates: On iOS, open the App Store and go to your profile, then check for updates. On Android, open Google Play Store, go to your profile, and check for available updates. We recommend keeping MyPal updated for the best experience and security.
If you cancel your subscription, you'll revert to the free Getting Acquainted trial (if available) or lose access to paid features. Your conversations and data will remain on your device. You can resubscribe anytime to regain access to premium features.
