• Biometrics remain local

Depending on how you use MyPal, we may collect:

A. User-Provided Information

• Preferred display name
• Optional email/phone for verification
• User-created reminders, notes, lists, timers, calendar entries, etc.

B. Voice / Biometric Data

For authentication and wake features:

• Voiceprint or voice phrase
• Stored locally, secured, not transmitted

C. Device Information

• Device type, OS version, locale/language settings
• Crash reports or diagnostics (optional)

D. Optional External Backup Data

If enabled by the user, encrypted data may sync to external storage chosen by the user (e.g., iCloud/Google Drive/Dropbox). Backup responsibility remains user-controlled.

3. How We Use Information

MyPal processes information to:

• Provide personalized AI interactions
• Authenticate users securely
• Support notifications, timers, lists, reminders
• Improve performance, reliability, and memory continuity

4. Local Device Storage Default

Unless a user chooses export/sync:

• Voiceprints, personal memory, reminders, notes, and lists remain stored only on-device

5. Sharing of Personal Information

We do not share personal content except:

• When the user explicitly requests export, sync, or sharing
• When required by law enforcement or valid legal order

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

6. Your Rights & Controls

Users may:

• Delete conversation history
• Erase stored biometric/voice data
• Reset MyPal memory
• Modify preferences or disable memory functions
• Review data stored locally

Settings controls provide deletion and export options.

7. Data Retention

MyPal retains personal data solely as long as the user chooses. When deleted, the app removes content from local storage.

8. Security Measures

We employ:

• Biometric authentication (optional)
• PIN/password access
• Encryption at rest and in transit
• Secure memory vault containers

Users remain responsible for securing device-level access.

9. Children's Privacy

• MyPal is not intended for users under 13
• We do not knowingly collect information from minors

10. International Users

Users outside the U.S. consent to processing in accordance with this Policy. Regional privacy rights may apply and can be requested through support.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Policy periodically. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of changes.
